This past spring, Mighty Mite Dog Gear lost our business partner, mentor and friend, George Smith, to cancer. We mourn his loss and thank our loyal patrons for standing by us during this terrifically difficult time.
In George’s memory, Mighty Mite is conducting a fund raising campaign for the U.N Disaster Relief Fund “CERF.” For the month of September, Mighty Mite is donating 20% of all Mighty Mite Screenroom tent orders to the U.N Fund in George’s name. Please visit the screenroom page for more information:

We are very frusterated.... we have a 6 month old male maltese. We have done all the... keep him on a leash in the house and around you and take him outside all the time and praise him out there ect.... we did it for a long long time and he still would go in the house. How do you get him to tell you he needs to go outside.... we have kinda given up and we just keep him outide all day. We live on a farm and his is loving it out there and then bring him in at night. BUT winter will come and I want to be able to have an indoor dog. I need help. What can we do. Im no good at this but would like to be.
Thanks

Every day I get emails from people about their dogs, most of the emails are great and show that people really want to do what is best for their K9 pals. I also get letters that leave me in shock in awe. Here is one. In response to a video that I posted on YouTube someone wrote:
"dogs do not have feelings like humans do. They are not capable of the same capacities humans are. I agree that they feel pain and can be upset and hurt but they don't love, have compassion, nor do they understand complex feelings."
I know that I have been working with dogs for a long time, and that my love for them may cloud my judgment. I also know that dogs (as a rule) are not as smart as people. But when it comes to feeling emotions, I have no doubt that dogs are every bit as emotional as people if not more so. It brings me great sadness when I see people disregard the emotional lives as animals. Such disregards often lead to dog abuse and pain.
I will try to add a copy of the video that caused the comment to be given.
I am happy to see that we have our first member! Of course there is me, the guy who started the group, but it is always such a thrill to see a move forward. I would love to learn about everyone who joins the group. So if you have a moment please write in. I am still learning how to use all the vox features, it looks like I will be able to do a great deal of fun stuff once I get the hang of everything. Awesome!!! Oh, and I added a photo of me holding a Whippet
